Air Abrasion:
Air abrasion dentistry is the use of
surgical silica in a jet stream of compressed nitrogen to remove decay
in the pits and fissures of teeth. This allows us to be very conservative
in our preparation of the tooth. Frequently this can be done without
the need for a local anesthetic, (No Shot). A flowable permanent composite
is then placed, and the restoration is almost invisible.
